Teaching prenatal yoga has deeply transformed and shaped my life journey. During my 22 years of teaching prenatal yoga, I have come to realize how profound yoga can be in helping expecting mothers - not only with the physical and emotional ups and downs of pregnancy, but also in coping with the challenges of labor, postpartum, breastfeeding and beyond.
My classes include a focus on pelvic balance, awareness, a connection to the breath and ways to find space, stability and comfort during pregnancy and beyond. I support my students (and teacher trainees) in gaining a deeper understanding of the physical, emotional, and spiritual changes of pregnancy, as well as the importance of honoring the body’s needs during each trimester.
However, my ultimate goal is to encourage moms-to-be to fully embrace their innate and awesome ability to grow, nurture and birth babies from that deep maternal place of "knowing”. I have worked with many hundreds of expecting couples since I began this work in 2005. As I continue to witness the profound and awesome nature of birth first-hand, my dedication to this work has only grown and deepened.

I hold specialty yoga teacher certifications in: prenatal yoga, postnatal yoga, restorative yoga, and yin yoga. I am an active childbirth educator, retired birth doula and retired lactation counselor. I have trained and mentored yoga teachers for 15 years, and have served on many yoga teacher training teams.
I have developed many teacher training curriculums including: Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training, Yoga for Labor & Delivery, Yin Yoga, Basic 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training, and numerous continuing education workshops. I am a mom of three sons, and a proud grandmom!
